Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Download the Filltr app from the App Store or Google Play. Sign up with your email or phone number, verify your account, and complete your profile to start connecting with others.
How does location-based matching work?
Filltr uses your device location (with your permission) to show you people nearby. You can adjust your distance preferences in Settings. Your exact location is never shared with other users.
How do I edit my profile?
Tap your profile icon, then tap Edit Profile. You can update your photos, bio, preferences, and visibility settings at any time.
FAQ
How does Filltr make money?
Filltr is free today. We may add optional support or cosmetic upgrades later to fund hosting and safety tooling. No core features are paywalled.
Will core features ever be locked?
No. Discovery, messaging, safety tools, and privacy controls will remain free.
Is Filltr backed by ads?
No. We do not show ads today. If we ever experiment with sponsorships, we will disclose clearly and keep them optional.
Safety & Privacy
How do I block or report someone?
On any user profile, tap the menu icon and select Block or Report. Blocked users cannot see your profile or contact you. Reports are reviewed by our safety team within 24 hours.
What information is visible to others?
Other users see your profile photo, display name, age, bio, and approximate distance. You control what you share in Privacy Settings. Your email, phone number, and exact location are never shared.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This action is permanent and will remove all your data from our servers within 30 days. You can download your data before deletion.
Messaging & Connections
How do I start a conversation?
Browse profiles, tap on someone you're interested in, and send them a message. Be respectful and follow our community guidelines for positive interactions.
What if someone isn't responding?
Everyone has different schedules and preferences. If someone doesn't respond, respect their choice and move on. Do not send repeated messages or harassing content.
Technical Support
The app won't load or crashes
Try force-closing and restarting the app. Check for updates in the App Store or Google Play. If the issue persists, contact support at support@filltr.de with your device model and app version.
I'm not receiving notifications
Check your device Settings → Notifications → Filltr and ensure notifications are enabled. Also check in-app notification settings under Settings → Notifications.
Location isn't working
Go to device Settings → Privacy → Location Services and ensure Filltr has location permission set to "While Using" or "Always". Restart the app after changing permissions.
